Q: What is the Public Cookbook?
The Public Cookbook is a place for anyone to view a large collection of recipes submitted by people around the world. From here, you can copy these recipes to your own Personal Cookbook. The recipes submitted to the Public Cookbook are reviewed to maintain a clean and organized collection. Any registered user can submit a recipe to be included in the Public Cookbook.
Q: How do I search for
a particular recipe?
To search for a recipe, simply enter the appropriate text into the search box on the left side of the page. You can search for ingredients or by the title of the recipe.
To copy a recipe, simply click on the 'Copy this recipe' link found above the recipe while viewing. A copy will be placed into your Personal Cookbook for later use.
Q: Can I put my own
recipes in the Public Cookbook?
Any registered user can submit an original recipe to be added to the Public Cookbook. The recipe will be reviewed by our staff and included if it meets certain guidleines.
Q: When I copy a recipe,
it asks me to rename it. Why?
To eliminate duplicate recipes and help eliminate confusion, your Personal Cookbook may only have recipes with unique names. If you attempt to copy or enter a recipe and you are notified that one by that name exists, you will be required to enter an alternate name.
